CSRC Mission

Our mission is to significantly contribute to Ireland’s research agenda by providing a world-class centre of excellence in circuits and systems research and development.

 

 

Laboratory Facilities

Located within the Engineering Research Building within the University of Limerick Campus the centre includes approx 75sq meters of a state-of-the-art laboratory facility, used for the support of research activities. The laboratory is extensively equipped with test and measurement instrumentation and component storage in an anti-static environment.

6 patents (3 granted + 3 applications)

6 PhDs graduated and  2 Masters graduated

Research Funding was achieved via:

  • 1 EI CFTD Proposal.
  • 2 EI/MCCI Competency Centre Proposals
CAD Support

CSRC use industry-standard Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools from companies such as Cadence, Mentor Graphics, Synopsys and Tanner. These tools are accessed through the Europractice software services initiative, which provides EDA software to European academic institutions and publicly funded research laboratories in order to introduce new users to modern design flows. CSRC EDA tools run primarily on the Linux operating system.
